I. PREAMBLE

When those systems stop serving the people and turn into machines that steal our time, drain our wallets, and tire us out, it is time for us to stop waiting for them to fix themselves. It is our right and duty to build something better.

II. WHAT WE HOLD
We hold these core truths to be clear to everyone:
1. Five Freedoms Belong to Every Human Being: Biological Vitality (Health), Economic Sovereignty (Wealth), Digital & Physical Autonomy (Security), Self-Determined Community (Society), and Ownership of Your Own Time (Freedom).
2. Economies & Technologies Must Serve Human Life: They exist to help people thrive, not to strip-mine your attention, hoard houses, fund endless foreign wars, or trap you in debt forever.
3. Profit is Not Profiteering: Making money by serving people is honest work. But making record profits off war, sickness, and inflation while people cannot walk away is an unfair toll collected on human pain.
4. When the Rules Break, We Build the Alternative: When rules favor extraction over human flourishing, citizens have the right and duty to step away from the broken system and build working alternatives.
Two hundred and fifty years after America's founding, we add five practical truths for our time:
- Food, water, and air are our first infrastructure: Poisoning them for quick corporate profit is a crime against our future.
- A home is first a place to live, not an investment asset: A nation that prices its own children out of homes has sold its future.
- Your data is part of you: Taking your personal data without clear consent is theft, and using it to charge you higher prices is fraud.
- Algorithms must not rule public life: Computer codes deciding what millions of citizens see hold immense power with zero accountability.
- Your time is your life: Whoever steals your focus and hours without your consent steals your life by increments.
III. THE EVIDENCE
Look at the facts. Compare what the previous generations received when they grew up against what they are passing down today:
What They Inherited
A median home that cost about 2 times a family's yearly income. College tuition you could pay with a summer job. Single-earner households that could easily buy a home, raise children, and retire safely. A national debt under 40% of GDP. Main streets filled with local business owners, and institutions that answered to regular people.
What They Are Handing Down
A median home costing 5 to 6 times yearly income, with investment funds buying up entire neighborhoods. College degrees costing tens of thousands in non-dischargeable debt. Starting a family pushed into a luxury item. National debt over 120% of GDP ($34+ trillion). Over $8 trillion spent on foreign wars while bridges and towns crumble. High chronic illness and a governing class older than ever in American history.
They received the richest inheritance in human history, spent the savings, mortgaged the rest, and passed the bill to their kids and grandkids.
That is not bad luck. That is failed stewardship. This document records the facts.
IV. NAMING THEM
The Declaration of 1776 named its tyrant. We must be just as clear, because extraction hides behind vague words.
When we say They, we mean the broken machinery built and defended over fifty years: Congresses filled by leaders who never left; boards that hollowed out local towns; lobbies that bought policy; funds that fattened portfolios by gouging young families; and platforms that colonized public speech.
Extraction compounds over time: First they gouged prices. Then they mined your personal data. Now they combine both to charge you maximum prices based on your personal profile. Fifty years, three stages, one lesson: each decade of extraction builds on the last.
V. THE GRIEVANCES
Here are the plain facts across the five freedoms:
1. HEALTH: The Freedom of Biological Vitality
Physical strength, mental clarity, clean food, and a long healthy life are the foundation of freedom.
- Sick-Care Monopoly: They built a system that makes money off chronic illness rather than preventing disease.
- Poisoned Commons: They filled our food, water, and soil with microplastics, additives, and ultra-processed junk.
- Medical Ruin: They turned medical emergencies into financial bankruptcy for regular families.
- Neglected Elders & Vets: They neglected veterans of long wars and priced dignified elder care out of reach.
2. WEALTH: The Freedom of Economic Sovereignty
Honest work should build real property and family security—not endless rent and interest payments.
- Housing Monopoly: They let Wall Street funds buy up starter homes, turning the dream of ownership into endless rent.
- Wage Erosion: Costs for housing, healthcare, and education grew much faster than wages for 50 years.
- Student Debt Trap: They tolled the middle class with $1.5+ trillion in student debt that cannot be erased in bankruptcy.
- Inverted Tax Code: They lowered taxes on big financial capital while taxing honest work harder.
3. SECURITY: The Freedom of Digital and Physical Autonomy
Your mind, data, tools, and identity belong to you—not to central databases or corporate servers.

- Loss of Local Places: They replaced real town squares and community spaces with corporate chains and phone screens.

We step away from the broken system. We claim our full right to grow our own health, build real enterprises, run our own digital tools, protect our data, and strengthen our local communities.

We build not to tear down what is falling on its own, but to have working alternatives ready for our families.
